One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is how easy it is to keep saying:
“I’ll start when I’m ready.”
When I have more money.
When I have more time.
When I know exactly what I’m doing.
When my website looks better.
When I have more followers.
When I have all the answers.
But what if “ready” never comes?
I’m learning through rebuilding The Mompreneur Hustle that sometimes you have to start while you’re still figuring things out.
When I came back, I didn’t have everything ready.
I restarted my blog.
I started working on my Nextdoor presence.
I created The Mompreneur Hustle community, and we’re already beginning to welcome new members. 💕
I’ve been working on LinkedIn.
I’m preparing to build our YouTube presence.
I’m working on ways for people with dreams and business ideas to tell me what they’re trying to accomplish so I can help them figure out their next step.
And there is still so much more coming.
Is everything perfect?
No.
Do I have every piece figured out?
Definitely not.
But I started.
🌱 Starting Creates the Next Step
Sometimes we think we need to see the entire staircase before taking the first step.
We don’t.
You may start with one idea and discover something better along the way.
You may make a mistake and learn from it.
You may meet someone who gives you information you didn’t have before.
You may try something that doesn’t work.
That’s still progress because now you know what to change.
The important thing is that you’re moving.
💭 What Are You Waiting For?
Maybe you’ve been saying:
“I want to start a business, but…”
“I want to write a book, but…”
“I want to sell my products, but…”
“I want to start creating content, but…”
“I have this idea, but I don’t know where to begin.”
That last one is especially important.
Not knowing where to begin doesn’t mean you shouldn’t begin.
It means your first step might simply be asking for help.
💕 That’s Why I’m Building This Community
I don’t want The Mompreneur Hustle to be a place where I just post about what I’m doing.
I want it to become a place where you can build too.
Bring your idea.
Bring your questions.
Bring the business you already started.
Bring the dream that’s still sitting in your notebook.
You don’t need to impress anybody here.
You don’t need thousands of followers.
And you definitely don’t need to have everything figured out.
We can start with:
What do you want to do?
Then we figure out:
What’s the next step?
One step at a time. 💕
🌸 Your Saturday Challenge
Before today is over, do ONE thing for your dream.
Not ten things.
One.
Write your idea down.
Research a business name.
Make the phone call.
Create the email.
Write the first page.
Look up what you need to get started.
Tell someone about your idea.
Ask the question you’ve been afraid might sound silly.
Just do one thing that moves you forward.
Then come back and tell me what you did. I want to celebrate it with you. 🎉
And if you’re stuck and genuinely don’t know what that first step should be, ask me. That’s what I’m here for.
