Hey Hustlers! π
It’s Momma T, and I’m back with another conversation about something I think every entrepreneur, dreamer, and small-business owner can relate to.
What happens when you’re motivated, you’ve made your plans, you’re ready to work toward your goals… and suddenly something gets in the way?
That’s exactly what happened to me this week.
My laptop wasn’t working, and for someone who’s trying to rebuild a blog, grow a community, connect with entrepreneurs, and work on future projects, having a laptop that won’t cooperate can throw everything off.
But today, it’s working again, and here I am!
And it got me thinking about something important.
πΈ Not Every Setback Means You’re Falling Behind
Sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to accomplish everything that we forget life doesn’t always follow our schedules.
Maybe your computer stopped working.
Maybe your children needed extra attention.
Maybe money got tight.
Maybe work, family, or unexpected responsibilities took up the time you planned to spend on your dream.
And before you know it, days have passed, and you haven’t accomplished what you wanted.
It’s frustrating, especially when you’re excited about building something.
But here’s what I want you to understand:
A delay doesn’t mean your dream is over.
You can have a difficult week and still be making progress.
You can take a break and still be serious about your goals.
And you can start again without having to explain yourself to everybody.
π Building Something Takes More Than Motivation
When I restarted The Mompreneur Hustle, I knew there would be challenges.
I’m building a blog, growing a community, connecting with entrepreneurs, and working toward launching new projects.
Some days, I feel like I can accomplish everything on my list.
Other days, something unexpected happens.
But I’m learning that building something of your own isn’t about having perfect days.
It’s about learning how to keep going when things don’t happen the way you planned.
And that’s something I want us to talk about more in this community.
Not just the success stories.
Not just the beautiful websites, business launches, and big accomplishments.
But the real-life moments in between.
Because those moments are part of entrepreneurship, too.
π± You Can Still Make Progress in Small Ways
Maybe you couldn’t work on your business this week.
That doesn’t mean you can’t do something today.
You could write down a new idea, research something you’ve been curious about, reach out to another entrepreneur, organize your plans, or simply decide what your next step will be.
It doesn’t always have to be something big.
Sometimes progress is opening your laptop after a frustrating week and saying, “Okay, where did I leave off?”
And that’s exactly what I’m doing today.
π¬ Let’s Talk About Your Setbacks
Now I want to hear from you!
Have you ever been working toward something important when life suddenly interrupted your plans?
Maybe you were starting a business, trying to save money, learning something new, or working toward a personal goal.
What happened?
And more importantly, how did you get yourself moving again?
